Abstract

We present a growing collection of open-source Android apps collected from several sources, including Github. Our dataset, AndroZooOpen, currently contains over 45, 000 app repositories, representing the whole picture of Github-hosted Android apps. For such repositories that have their apps released to Google Play, their metadata on Google Play, such as categories and stars as well as their user reviews, are also included. We provide this dataset as our ongoing research efforts to support and enable new potential research topics involving the source code of Android apps, and as a supplement dataset for AndroZoo, a well-known app collection of close-sourced Android apps.
